about
This song showcases the many beautiful traditions that have pulled on my heart and inspired me to make music. The intro melody is "Asa Branca," a traditional song from Northeastern Brazil about a terrible drought. The guitar groove of the song is inspired by the music of West African artist VIeux Farka Toure. I do my best to lay down a beat box of the New Orleans Second Line Beat. The harmonica sings out New Orleans traditional "I'll Fly Away."
